See the Micro-Trak V1.3 page that describes building a Micro-Trak kit for construction, modification and technical information as V1.4 is identical to V1.3 other than for the circuit board which is slightly different.

This kit was built as intended, with no personal modifications like the V1.3 kit, in order to measure and obtain the "before" data seen on the V1.3 page and these first two images were taken at that time.
 

The 5V voltage regulator was then replaced, a 3.3V regulator and small 5 pin connector was added and other modifications similar to the V1.3 kit and as seen below were made.
