Normal water would have caused little damage to BEAR-2 electronic circuits, but the Battle River is very alkaline and minerals from the highly conductive water were quickly deposited and damaged any powered circuit. The circuit above was powered and for controlling the digital camera which
was the one circuit not powered and not damaged by the water.
